Processing Services, Inc. has provided IPDA with consulting, solutions and
services for EDI (electronic data interchange) since 1982. Presently over
$5 billion dollars in single copy magazine retail sales are transacted
through IPDA business-to-business (B2B) exchange, the Electronic Mail System
(EMS) annually. Major publishers, national distributors, wholesalers,
printers and logistic agents utilize the supply chain system between the
parties via a common Windows PC based interface written by DPS, STRT. DPS
operates the IPDA EMS system on IBM dual core based P5 processors, the RS6000
pSeries. The advanced UNIX operating system, AIX5L supports a solid
hardware and software scalable architecture. The production system is
co-located in a tier-one-hosting-facility with our business partner Vitkin
Management Company at the Digiport Miami facility. A redundant second
server site is located in the middle United States in Illinois. The
data and systems are kept in-synch for near real-time fault tolerance
redundant multiple located systems enabling 24 hour by 7 day continuity of
